Kitcher’s Account is of Accepted Explanation but not Correct Explanation

In his paper "Interpretive Unity", Kitchener considers unified theory to be a better interpretation theory than dealing with legal models. The goal of uniting on behalf of scientific interpretation is to obtain objective insights covering the legal model and presenting subjective insights. First, I summarize Ketar's argument about unity. Then we insist that the effects of metaphysical problems that are susceptible to causal theory and correct interpretation are unified. I will use David Lewis' uneven world example to explain how this type of opposition challenges unity in two ways.

During the past few decades, many philosophers have criticized the reduction of interpretation of predictions by some or other aspects (eg Boyd 1985; Kitcher 1981; Lipton 1991; Kitcher and Salmon 1989; McMullin 1984, 1987; Miller 1987 Salmon 1984, 1989). In the context of this important research, the concept of interpretation as an independent component of a rational scientific methodology has recovered to some extent.
