King Saul's Development

In the eighth chapter of the first chapter of Samuel 's record, the Israelites demanded that the king govern them. God appointed a man named Saul. He was a typical young man originally belonging to a small tribe of Benjamin. When he was appointed to the king he was a little scared of his new assignment. But as time went on he experienced a series of events that made himself selfish, jealous, powerful hungry ruler, and eventually made crazy. This development in his personality began with his son Jonathan not following his orders, but his main source was that David was successful on the battlefield and he tried to kill David His embarrassment against failure.

Saul - Israel's first king. After God chose Saul as king, Saul lost its sacred right and ruled Israel by making two religious mistakes. Saul played the role of David because his conspiracy to kill David only emphasized David's sympathy for Saul. He became a thoughtful but tragic person because Saul confused himself with the inability to understand God's harsh standards. Solomon - son of David, and the third king of Israel. Two books by Samuel (the first Samuel and the second Samuel) deal with the rise of the kingdom of Israel. Israeli religious leader Samuel appointed the king named Saul. But Saul did not obey God, and God chose another man David to be the king of Israel. King Saul tried to kill the young David but failed. Saul's death will close the first book. In the second book, David established the great kingdom of Israel. He conquered the enemies around Israel and established Jerusalem as a religious and political center of Israel.

Saul was the first king of Israel. Saul is a tragic person. Saul violated Samuel and lost his blessing to the Lord. While Saul was fighting the Philistines, he faced the challenge of forming a unified country. Saul faced a difficult task of forming a country from the loosely united tribes of Israel. Saul succeeded in fighting the Philistines, but he was rejected as a king because he did not completely obey the Lord's request. Samuel is not keen on asking the king. Samuel believed the Lord to be the only king. He believes this is a direct rejection of God, allowing people to protect themselves as they enter the land and are threatened. Samuil warns them of all the negative things the king can do with this power.
