King Lear by William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare is known as one of the greatest literary figures in history and is known for his 40 dramas and 154 sonnets. Born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon in the second half of the 16th century, Shakespeare studied at the grammar school and started a career as a playwright and writer (Gaines 18). Shakespeare's love climax at the center of his work is a necessary condition to maintain relevance to contemporary literature.
