King Lear and Death of a Salesman

As social pressure changes over time, it is interesting to see how these three differences in the text over the past 400 years looks at society and the influence on the hero. For the first time in Mus' I era, he introduced a patriarchal society. At the same time, Arthur Miller used the role of "salesman's death" to demonstrate the failure of "American Dream" in the American "Golden Age" in the late 1940s. "American Dream" is a series of ideals that shows that everyone in the United States can work hard and succeed, and can live a happy life.

Working for Shakespeare (King Lear), beginning further in the 20th century (the death of a salesman) and beginning with the Greeks (King of Edips), the tragedy experienced tremendous changes for many years. In several ways, it gradually advanced to a certain point which is quite contrasting. The tragedy we know today are completely different from what the Greeks saw in their tragedies. King Oedipus is a classical Greek tragedy. It follows the unity that the Greeks must obey. Oedipus' great recession is proud, and this is also the fall of all the other protagonists of the Greek tragedy. Edipus marries his mother, kills his father, and is to have his mother and a child. In the past, a dramatic tragedy usually ended in the death of the hero. Miller's performance is still unchanged in this respect, but this is not the case that the hero is. He is not a wonderful god like Hamlet, a king like Leah, Achilles. He is a salesman and he is not a good salesman. His death is not a big deal and his funeral is not well participated.

At the end of the game, both Lear and Cordelia were dead. Lear may be sorrowful for Cordelia's death, but this is absolutely unnecessary. Because of the death of Cordelia, the main character is rear so the drama is tragic. In King Lear, the audience did not make a mistake in Cordelia, and it was very sad that she died prematurely on stage. Lear's death also grieved by his unhappy situation, but his knowledge about peace with him was alleviated during his death.
