Kenya slum upgrading programme

About 60% of the population of Nairobi lives in the slum area. The landscaping project of the Kenyan government should change this. This is a good idea, but unfortunately the authorities ceased paying workers for certain projects.

In 2004 the Kenyan Government launched the Kenyan Slum Upgrade Program (KENSUP) in cooperation with the United Nations Habitat and other stakeholders.
