Kennewick Man is the name of an ancient American skeleton ruins of prehistoric times discovered on the Columbia River in Kennewick, Washington state, USA on July 28, 1996. It is one of the most complete ancient bones that have been discovered so far. Bone radio carbon test showed that it has been adjusted from 8.9k to 9k to date. At the beginning of the 21st century, gene analysis did not have enough technology to analyze this ancient DNA. But by 2013 the technology has improved and the ancient DNA (aDNA) was analyzed. In June 2015, the team announced their conclusion that Kennewickman is most similar to the American living Indians, including those found in the Columbia River area.

Advances in genetic research since Kennewick Man completed its first research made it possible to analyze ancient DNA (called aDNA). In June 2015, a new result from this DNA analysis was announced, indicating that the will and contemporary Native American relationship is closer than any other population.
