Throughout this book, there are even people who have not experienced enough housing even the various families have experienced, from poverty to not being able to buy food. Several of these families have to overcome these difficulties, but many families have no way to go. Katynnis says the story is the hero of Collins novel.

This book continues the story of Katnis Eva Dean who agreed to unify the Panem region with tyranny. Mockingjay 's hardcover and audio book version was released by Scholastic on August 24, 2010 6 days after the eBook version was released. This book sold more than 450,000 copies beyond the publisher's expectations during the first week of publication. It generally received a positive response from the critics. The novel was adapted to two movies. The first half was released on November 21, 2014, the second half was released on November 20, 2015.
