Justinian is one of Byzantium's most influential rulers. When he grabbed power at 527 AD, he inherited a chaotic civilization. Justinian had a positive impact on the Byzantine Empire. Most notably, he introduced an improved set of laws and conquered many neighboring countries, with most of the glory of the Roman empire restored. In addition to these contributions, Justinian made progress in Christian church and Byzantine architecture. Justinian was born May 11, 483, in the northern part of Illyricum (Hillard 1).
Emperor Justinian resurrected the Byzantine Empire through his military victory, legitimate work, church organization and construction activities and the establishment of the Justinian code. He was the emperor of the 6th century and the only person who established the aristocrat by choosing a humble born person as his most faithful counselor because he wanted to work with truth and sincere. His inner desire actively expanded the empire to him and restored the Byzantine Empire to prosperity comparable to the original Roman Empire.
When Justinian died, the Byzantine Empire occupied the largest and most powerful country in Europe. But the debt caused by the war pushed the empire into a terrible financial distress and his successor was obliged to impose taxes on Byzantine citizens to maintain the existence of the empire. In addition, the Imperial Army was pulled too thinly, and maintaining territorial conquest during Justinian rule will be in vain. In the seventh and eighth centuries, the attacks of the Persian empire and the Slavic people, together with internal political instability and economic recession threatened the stability of the empire.
Justinian did not want to conquer this Byzantine Empire. He is the emperor of this empire, he does not want to conquer his land. Justinian is trying to conquer the lost land of the Western Roman Empire. This is because the so-called "Byzantine" empire is the continuation of the Roman Empire. The Byzantine Empire is a term made by historians to show the empire to the eastern part of the Roman Empire after the Western tribe. The parties did not even know the word Byzantium and called their empire the Roman Empire.
