The judicial system includes organizations for prevention, investigation, prosecution, ruling and punishment of criminal acts. On the global scale, the judicial system aims to ensure the safety of citizens without infringing on the rights of citizens. The due process model is a model that recognizes that states must respect all human legal rights in justice management. As Regina (Rotman) v. Metropolitan Police Commissioner emphasizes, the due process model asks if the criminal justice system is misjudged.

In this article we explore the concept of justice in the context of the US criminal justice system. It also evaluates the expenses associated with criminal justice and the benefits that citizens receive from national spending in the justice system by implementing research literature on cost-benefit analysis of certain aspects of criminal justice. This document proves that crime costs are rising in the United States, that some criminal justice policies have proven cost effective, others do not.

The legitimate government depends on the effective function of the criminal justice system. The citizens gave the criminal justice system powerful authority including the authority of life and death. Therefore, a criminal trial is far more complicated than simply enforcing the law and starting a fight against crime, drugs, and terrorism. People often choose safety more than freedom when making choices between safety and freedom. Since the 1960 's, the war on terror has been one of the most serious threats to the balance between security and freedom.

The criminal justice system has played an important and central role in maintaining order. In most cases, people want to carry out their day-to-day work without considering the criminal justice system. The citizen seems to like the criminal justice system which does not invade daily life, but chase "stubborn person" and leave only "ordinary" citizen. The judicial system is an important part of conflict resolution, crime prevention, maintenance of order and protection of individual freedom.
