There are a lot of people who live in the street with a handgun. If these gun owners do not even have a house, how do they find it?
In the article 'Just escape their guns', James Q. Wilson pointed out that guns should be taken from criminals rather than compliant citizens. In the article by Wilson, he included Gary Creek's family survey, presuming that more people used guns to protect themselves than those arrested for violent crime and theft. Wilson then supported the second amendment and made it possible for people to have the right to carry weapons. Therefore, he believes robbing a gun from an individual is not the most effective way to reduce illegal use of firearms. He said that everyone with a handgun must obtain permission, and the judicial officer should deprive everything else. Then Wilson said that people with reasonable doubts should be searched or be able to use gun detectors.
