The purpose of the National BETA Club is to encourage and support the promotion of the ideals of junior high school students' personality, service, leadership ideals, rewarding achievements, and continuing education after high school graduation.

The National Junior Club recognizes excellent academic achievements, promotes strong ethical quality and social responsibility, encourages the service to other people, extends leadership skills and provides skills to build strong interpersonal relationships It is an honoring organization to do. The National Beta Club (commonly known as "Beta Club" or "Beta") is an organization of 4th to 12th graders in the United States. That mission is "to promote school record, character, leadership, and service of elementary and junior high school students". This organization is headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina and has over 8,750 clubs both in Japan and abroad. Beta is an academic honor program with emphasis on community service. It was founded in 1934 by Professor John W. Harris, Professor of Wofford College. That motto is "Let's serve others." Traditionally, students receive membership based on their grade (GPA) or test scores and personality traits. Each school chooses which chapter memberships to display.
