On June 19, African Americans gathered from all over the United States will gather at the picnic, festival and other gatherings, celebrating June 18th. This is the oldest celebration at the end of slavery. Today, June is not just about celebrating the liberation of black people. It is a day to celebrate our journey, achievements, and ongoing efforts towards all Americans freedom and equality.

Many people report that social media celebrates today and makes the celebration more prominent.
