Juan Sebastian Elcano

Juan Sebastian Elcano was born in Geta in Spain in 1476. He is a navigator. In search of the king's excuse (Charles V, Emperor of Holy Roman), he entered the expedition world of Ferdinand Magellan as Shimo. He and the other five ships departed from the west side of Spain and found another faster route. On the way, in April 1521, Juan Sebastian Elcano began sailing over the expedition, so the commander of the expedition died in the Philippines.

There was considerable controversy over who sails first in the world. The simple answer is that Juan Sabastian Elcano and the rest of the Magellan fleet departed from Spain on 20th September 1519 and returned to September 1522. But there is another candidate who may travel the world in front of them - Enrique of Magellan's servant. In 1511, Magellan sailed to Portugal to join the Spice Islands and participated in the conquest of Melaka where he gained his servant Enrique. Ten years after fast forward, Enrique worked with Magellan in the Philippines. Magellan is often thought of as the first explorer traveling the world, but this is not technically correct. When he organized the voyage and negotiated the dangerous South American Strait and the Pacific crossing, Magellan was killed before the mission reached the Spice Islands.
