JROTC cultivates their self esteem, teamwork, and self-control while teaching high school students' civic consciousness, leadership, community service, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.

The JROTC program emphasizes military discipline and the course emphasizes research on military science and military history. Cadet candidates usually wear uniforms once or twice a week for inspection. However, those who go to the JROTC Military Academy are excluded. Their beliefs increase the credibility of students, loyalty, citizenship and patriotism of families, states, schools and military schools. Many students participate in extracurricular activities such as drilling, color protection, rocket, orienteering and so on. At least two-thirds of the JROTC troops are offering rifle shooting programs, most of which have rifle or pistol teams. During the academic year, the JROTC department conducted and tested regional competitions in all areas of military, naval and aerospace science. The first acceptance of the ROTC program does not guarantee ongoing scholarship benefits. Students are required to adhere strict academic standards to receive ongoing funds through the degree program. Each military department has its own rules and regulations such as course balance, preliminary selection, minimum level. In general, AROTC has the strictest scholarship program. Then give the students the freedom to explore nearly every major, and choose two ROTC courses for each semester. NROTC and AFROTC are more selective in certain areas of funding
