Jordan Robert Farmar (born 30th November 1986) is an American professional basketball player who played in the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In high school he was named the best player of the year of the Los Angeles Times High School in the 2003-04 season. He worked at UCLA while at university he became a New Year at Rivals.com in the 2004-05 season. Farmar was chosen 26th by Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2006 NBA draft. Along with the Lakers, he won two NBA championships in 2009 and 2010.
In the summer of 2009, he became the host of the first annual Jordan Farmer Celebrity Golf Classic held at Thursday Oaks' Sherwood Country Club. The funds collected were donated to the mother Jordan Farmar Foundation. This focuses on the support of endangered young people and children undergoing cancer treatment at UCLA Children's Hospital.
In most of the 2006-07 NBA season, Farmer took part in Smush Park. On March 31, 2007, Farmar was assigned to the Los Angeles D - Fenders team of Lakers' development league team. On April 1, Farmar lost to Anaheim Arsenal in 109-101 and won 18 points. Later that afternoon, he was recalled by the Lakers to compete against the Sacramento Kings that he is visiting. Farmer recorded 4 scores and 4 rebounds in 7 minutes and 38 seconds to help the Lakers win the home game and they became the first players to participate in the development league and NBA game. On April 15, in a battle against Seattle SuperSonics, Farmar began his first career on behalf of Smush Parker. With two starts in the regular season, Farmar started all five playoff games with point guard. In the first round against Phoenix Sands, he averaged twice with Steve Nash four points.
