Jonathan Edwards is a person who can petrify the Puritans of the 18th century. Born in East Windsor, Connecticut, he grew up in a family with a strict religious belief. In 1727, he began his preaching career as assistant to his grandfather, priest Solomon Stoddard of Northampton 's Church of Massachusetts. Two years later, when my grandfather died, Edwards became a pastor of the Northampton church and began preaching in New England. Then he became one of the leaders of the great awakening, and he decided to return to Puritan's orthodox.
