John Walker Lindh and Constitutional Rights

In 1791, the Bill of Rights was approved and fully effective. It details the rights and freedom to protect citizens from government abuse; it provides protection against criminal proceedings against them according to the law. In 2001, John Walker Lindh (some people call it "Taliban") became the defendant, he is a US citizen, and is said to be an anti-American terrorist. Linde was deprived of some of the essential rights to his right, just and comprehensive defense. Another American citizen arrested in Afghanistan, John Walker Lind, was treated differently. As he was quickly recognized as an American, Linde was detained at the Marine base in Afghanistan and asked about the relationship between the Taliban and Al Qaeda. He signed the confession, but later argued that his lawyer's request was rejected and he was obliged to give up the silent right. John Ashcroft's Attorney General announced that Linde will be brought to trial in the United States in a plot of murder conspiracy and terrorist acts. The government negotiated litigation with Linde in exchange for his cooperation, as his confession is likely to be eliminated by laws of the United States for compulsion. He is subject to the imprisonment of 20 years now

John Walker Lindh was placed under the so-called "special administrative measures" in the first few years of Terre Haute Prison, Indiana State, severely limiting communication with the outside world. Although these measures were abolished in 2009, the prison office refused to declare whether or not a special restriction has been imposed on Linde. Despite choices and government restrictions, Linde was able to learn the details of his case against the prison but did not tell the living in Terre Haute. Linde acquired the right of community prayer in 2013 and Linde joined another legal battle in December 2014.

John Walkind knows that he will not leave the prison like other former offenders and may face hostile American citizens.
