In 1960, John F. Kennedy was elected President of the United States of America. During the campaign, he promised to lead a democratic movement on the right path. The promise of this campaign brought hope to many African Americans nationwide. Since Lincoln, African Americans tended to favor democrats, and this election does not change. The Kennedy administration pointed out that an important part of the president is a civil rights issue. There are many citizens around Kennedy, but he has several objections.
