Johann Pachelbel's Biography

Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) German composer and organist. He studied music at Heinrich Schwemmer and G. C. Wecker, got a lecture at Auditorium aegidianum, entered Altdorf University in 1669, where he also served as an organist at Lorenzkirche. Due to lack of funds, he was obliged to leave the university in less than a year and became a Regensburg Gymnasium scholarship under the guidance of Caspar Prenz.
