Curtis Caesar John is an art manager, art supporter and media producer living in Brooklyn, New York, focusing on discovering and attracting works by talented filmmakers and color artists. He thinks that movies are one of the most powerful means to share life stories and promote mutual understanding among our own cultures. Curtis is the founder of the micro movie The Luminal Theater, which is held at Brooklyn Bedford-Stuyvesant, focusing on the works of diaspora and independent filmmakers in Africa. Through Brooklyn Cinema Group, branch of Luminal Theater, Curtis co-produced and produced the third quarter project of BAMcinematek at Brooklyn, Caribbean Film Series.

Curtis also works as a film editor of the cultural website Bold As Love Magazine and as a longtime contributor of Shadow And Act. His works appear at TheRoot.com, movies, festival magazines, and Voice of Africa. He is currently a producer of the documentary "BlaxploItalian: 100 Years of Darkness at the Italian Cinema". Curtis, a descendant of Guyanese, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.

Director and producer of "Joebell and America" is Asha Lovelace, born in Trinidad, is the daughter of the Caribbean author Earl Lovelace.
