Jesus Christ and Functionalist and Conflict Theory

Jesus is trying to improve individuals and social elements, and hence his teachings are ideally designed to promote the well-being of society as a whole. The four Gospels and the apostolic speech are thoroughly showing the broad sociological knowledge that exists in Jesus' teachings. His message promotes personal reform as well as changes in social structure. Jesus set up a church as a social system, but he did so only after some people became his believers.

Three theoretical perspectives of functionalism theory, conflict theory and symbolic interaction theory lead sociological thinking of social problems. These views are seeing the same social problem, but they do so in different ways. Their shared view provides a more comprehensive understanding of social issues than any view. The logical view of conflict theory, also known as social conflict theory, is a mirror image of functionalism in many respects. Unlike functionalists, they believe that the social order is maintained by value agreement, conflict theorists say that it is unwilling to exercise the power of a social class against other social classes That it will be retained.
