Jerry married Jacqueline Bernice Mitchell on 8th September 1987. JequelineRice applied for divorce in June 2007. The couple divorced at the end of December 2009. They have three children: Jackie Bonnet (born in 1987), Jerry Rice, Junior. Born in 1991) and Jada Symone (born in 1996). After 3 seasons and a limited playing time, Jerry Rice Jr. graduated from UCLA, moved to UNLV, and was qualified to participate in the competition.
