Janie’s Perfect Marriage in Their Eyes Were Watching God

Jenny's perfect marriage in their eyes is seeing God that man is not an isolated person. I will not walk alone in the trees and dunes alone, I can not immerse myself in my thoughts. Instead, we need a relationship with others to give us a sense of support and guidance. We are social people, they need talking and companions, just as we need food and sleep. We need someone very much, and we have developed a habit of guaranteeing the company: marriage. Marriage guarantees each of our company and association, even though it is not always positive and helpful.

Throughout the novel, Jenny bounced through three different marriages and introduced briefly the widow between them. In the case of Jody and Tea Cake, Janie used her first sexual desire as a sign of love, becoming a reason for marriage. Given that Jodie took away his independence entirely, his death made it possible for her to acknowledge that she is a self-individual. Appeal to Jenny 's tea cake was originally due to her feelings that he gave her what she does not have in Jodie: equal feelings. But there is still a problem in the last marriage with her tea cake and it affects her personal independence.
