It's getting even harder to be a woman

The World Economic Forum stated in a new report that "equality is shrinking" since the group began tracking this issue in 2006.

The report examines gender imbalances in the economy and workplace, education, politics, and health, and finds that the global benefits of women over the years have begun to erode.

Saadia Zahidi, director of education, gender and work at the World Economic Forum, says:

The group said 2017 is "a bad year for the first time in ten years", pointed out that the gender disparity in the world will be nearly 100 years by the present progress rate. The forecast for last year was 83 years.

If researchers focus only on economic inequality, schedule will be even worse. If progress continues at the current slow pace, this gap will take 217 years.

According to the report, no country has achieved gender equality in terms of economic opportunities and work. This means that women's revenues worldwide are lower than men and work is less than men.
