Istanbul: History and culture Istanbul is an old and modern city full of cultures dating from the beginning. This is a unique city connecting Europe and Asia. Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, the crowded city. Istanbul alone has more than 14 million people. This is not only the capital city Ankara. Istanbul is one of the crowded cities, not only the big cities, it is an old historical city.

The culture of Istanbul is based on the city as the capital of the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire. However, when the Republic of Turkey shifted its focus from Istanbul to Ankara, the cultural landscape of the city remained relatively stagnant through the middle of the 20th century, and even at both international and domestic levels it had limited success . The New Republic Government has developed a program aimed at making Turks a tradition of music, especially music from Europe, but visits by music organizations and foreign classical artists mainly to the new capital city I am concentrating. Most of Turkish culture was born in Istanbul but it was not until the 1980s and the 1990s that Istanbul became a culturally important city as well as the glory of the past.

How did Istanbul accommodate all these different communities in its history, and today do we hear some intolerance of intolerance even in Turkish society? Because Istanbul is confidently the center of the international big city culture before meeting the fate of European imperialism.

After all, Istanbul (formerly Constantinople) stopped at the legendary Silk Road. Secondly, it is a great way to understand craftsmanship and artistic style of the destination. Turkey has such a unique and interesting style, even if it is seeing all the shining and delicate items that are sold merely. Finally, there are lots of beautiful things, I want to take a small house in Istanbul home.
