Islam: The Rich Culture of the Middle East

Islam with 5 billion fans around the world is the world's second most popular religion and follows the strict rules of former Muhammad (God's Apostle or Allah). Islam, founded in 622 BC (aka A. D.) in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is a strict monotheism inspired by early religions such as Christianity and Judaism. It is divided into three different parts - Sunni, Shiite and Sufi. The Qur'an is a Muslim scripture and is considered to be an immutable word of God.

In the midst of political turmoil, many religions and cultures developed and prospered in the Middle East. Three monotheism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam were formed here and today dominated religion and culture in the Middle East. The majority of people in the Middle East are Muslims - but Judaism and Christianity hold a very strong believer. However, Christianity and Muslims are divided into sects, all sects are represented in the Middle East, this division is deceiving as the diversity and complexity of religion increases.

Islam is the most anxious religion in the Middle East. About 20% of Muslims in the world live in the Middle East. Islam is Allah's monotheistic faith and follows the teachings of the Bible written by the Quran. Muslim is considered an extension of Judaism and Christianity, Muhammad is considered to be the ultimate prophet of God. Most Muslims are Sunnis, followed by Shiites. Smaller sects include Ahmadiyya
