Isaac Chauncey papers 1801-1818

This series includes official letters, e-books and documents from US Navy Commander Isaac Chauncey and the Burberry War who served in the war of France and the United States during the war of 1812. Isaac Changay was born on 20th February 1772 in Black Rock, Connecticut. He entered a merchant vessel as a young man and received the first command at the age of 19.
