Throughout history, animals have been used in experiments to test product safety and to obtain beneficial medical knowledge for both humans and animals. There are many medical advances every year, such as drugs and surgical instruments tested in animals to confirm safety before being considered a human being. The results of the experiment saved lives of millions, but they also killed millions of innocent animals in the process.
Animal experiments are conditions necessary for human survival and medical research. I will briefly introduce the background and explanation of animal experiments, explain some of the medical advances in animal experiments and present my view on why animal experiments are beneficial to humans. We examine two aspects of animal experiments and demonstrate that animal experiments are necessary conditions for human survival and medical breakthroughs. Animal experiments are not new. Scientists and researchers have used various animals for centuries. Rodents are the most common animals used for testing. Rats and mice were 85% of the animals tested. When testing these animals, scientists try to ensure that the use of animals contributes to the advancement of knowledge and minimizes any possible pain that an animal may encounter.
Animal research is necessary in many areas. Thinking about animal medicine research is an important aspect or key to discovering and developing new treatments in the medical field. Furthermore, through animal experiments, permanent solutions can be found in medical research as well. Since some animals have certain characteristics resembling humans, animal experimentation is necessary. Only through medical research on animals we can find ways to improve human health.
Advances in American medicine believe that animal studies play an important role in the development of medical, veterinary and scientific breakthroughs. In the necessary research, we support responsible ethical and wise participation of laboratory animals to deepen the understanding of biological processes and accelerate the development of new treatments. Biomedical research on animals is beneficial for humans and other animals. We understand that the theme of animal research can be highly appreciated and we respect all individual opinions. Nonetheless, we can not deny the fact that animal-based research has become part of almost all medical discoveries in the past 100 years, even in this period of rapid technology development, It is an integral part of today's scientific progress.
