Introduction Self-esteem is the result of many experiences of life. People with strong self-esteem tend to have more positive interaction, better self-esteem than bad people. According to Coopersmith (1967), self-esteem is the product of an individual's early relationship, especially with parents. Growe (1980) discovered that mother acceptance and positive interaction are related to self esteem after the child. People with low self-esteem seem to be intimidated to require positive self feedback and to present negative feedback (Brown, Collins & Schmitt, 1988).

Self-esteem can affect our lives in a variety of ways, from academic and professional success to human relationships and mental health. Self esteem is not an invariable feature; personal or professional success or frustration can exacerbate the instability of our own values. Everyone's experience is different, but this psychological resource seems to systematically increase and decrease throughout the life cycle. Studies show that self-esteem grows to various extents up to age 60 and remains stable until old age begins to decline.

Academic achievement is an important factor in the development of self-esteem at school age. Successful or failing students will have strong academic influence on their personal self-esteem. Social experience is another important element of self esteem. When children go to school, they begin to understand and recognize the difference between them and their classmates. Through social comparison, children evaluate whether they are better or worse than their classmates in different activities. These comparisons form a child's pride and play an important role in influencing their positive or negative emotions. As the child experiences puberty, the influence of the fellow becomes more important. Teenagers evaluate themselves based on relationships with close friends. The relationship between friends is very important to cultivate high self-esteem.
