This may be such a mistake, but it can be imagined that pain is not important to mental health, but that it is very important that you feel a severe pain at your present moment.
From hypotheses to psychology, for example, ruminant animals are closely related to post-traumatic stress disorder.
From psychology to neurobiology there are many ligand-dependent cell receptors called TRPV1 receptors. These are receptors that respond to nociceptive (pain). In other words, cells with these neurons are more likely to "activate" when they feel pain.
Interestingly, these channels also exist in the central nervous system (eg the brain). Recent studies have shown that when these same receptors are activated in the hippocampus, they cause long-term inhibition of cellular activity:
Unpacking: The hippocampus is the area of the brain necessary for memory formation. Long term suppression of neurons is a phenomenon that reduces the likelihood of neurons releasing (perhaps by reducing the postsynaptic receptor density).
This may mean that activating harmful stimuli of the peripheral nervous system (ie causing pain) also decreases memory effect.
Most pain sensitization is a response to pain itself, the response to chronic pain is more or less normal, a general and reversible reaction. However, since it is a disease "itself" which is a disease itself, the pain system can become uncontrollable and may become unreasonably overly responsive. An example of this is a complex local pain syndrome, which usually causes extreme pain in the extremities, usually insect bites and involves relatively small tissue injuries such as small incisions or small fractures. When it occurs completely, the severity of the problem can not be underestimated (suicide is common), but it may make a more gentle change. In my career, I have repeatedly believed that the patient must have a smaller form of CRPS.
Yes, I can remember what I was born as I remember one aspect of it. I kept watching the nightmare as long as I could remember, often continuing until 8 years old. Memory is severe pain in the eyes, panic and other emotions. I do not make it hard to explain whether memory-related vision remembers after a nightmare. I remember this being the most terrible experience I have ever encountered and worrying about nightmares. In other words, I remember having a birthday like a nightmare since I was a child.
