Dance music is a subculture, or is now its own culture. Classical subculture defines itself as "other" and "subordinate" of "dominant" culture. Many cultural theorists such as Stewart Hall and Dick Habidiger are resisting mainly the way that subcultures obscure "established order" through their clothing rules and rituals. Dance music seems to deviate from the cultural theory of these young people, as it has not established its own recognizable dress code and consciously does not distinguish itself from a wider culture.
American culture is based on many subcultures, each with its own characteristics and characteristics. Each subculture is characterized by its own kind of music, clothing, and people. Very important subculture in America is African American. Throughout history, music played a very important role in shaping the culture of African-Americans. As the culture and ideas of the black community change, their music also changes. For the African American community, the revolution of art and music began in the early stages of the Harlem Revolution in the early twentieth century. Harlem is a small community in New York that influences African-American composition, dance, music. The Harlem Revolution has opened up new types of music like blues and jazz. As the degree of freedom of blacks increases, music gradually increases, their music style changes from blues and jazz to rap and hip-hop.
Our culture reflects that African cultural background through language, music and dance. An example of African culture that is reflected in our own culture is "tambu" music and dance. This music and dance experienced the succession of slaves, they convey the traditions and music of Africa. This dance is called "bailabang". This is very unique, dance consists of two people dancing, please do not touch each other. While placing your feet in the correct position, move your waist and body simultaneously with rhythm. Slave husband and later Catholic church did not allow this dance in the past. But the dance is still a mask dance, which is why this dance still exists and is an important part of our culture. It is now a jewel of our culture, reflecting our predecessor and historical past
