Irony and Symbolism in Roman Fever

The short story "Roman fever" is a shocking relationship between two women met in Rome, Mrs. Annerey and Mrs Slade. At the beginning of the story, the two women were sitting on the terrace of the Roman restaurant. There, I could see the wonderful view of the Colosseum and other Roman ruins. If a woman sits quietly on the terrace and enjoys a quiet scenery, you will notice that the daughters are running down to spend a romantic night with the two young people. This caused the memory of Mrs. Slade of her wife and her wife.

(1365) The title of this story may be the most important irony of the story.
