The capital of Ireland is Dublin. Those flags are divided into three equal parts: green, white and orange. Their population is 4,109,086 people (July 2007). The official languages of Ireland are English and Irish, also known as Irish Gaelic. 100% speak English and about 80% speak Gaelic. Ireland is the Republic, parliamentary democracy. They became independent from England on December 6, 1921. Ireland is an island of Western England, the Irish Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean.
Politically, Ireland is divided into the Republic of Ireland (the official name is Ireland) and Northern Ireland, while Northern Ireland is part of the UK, it occupies sixths of the island. The population of Ireland in 2011 is about 6.6 million, the second largest island in Europe after Britain. The number of people living in the Republic of Ireland is less than 4.8 million and the number of people living in Northern Ireland is over 1.8 million. The location of the island includes relatively low mountains around the central plain and some navigable rivers extend inland. The green vegetation is a product of its calm but fluctuating climate without extreme temperatures. Until the Middle Ages, it was covered with dense forests. The history of Ireland consists of 32 counties, six of which are called Northern Irelands and have become part of the UK since autonomy to other parts of Ireland in 1922. The island will be named "Ireland". Early evidence that humans appeared in Ireland was 10, 500 BC (12,500 years ago). Gaelic Irish appeared in the 1st century. Since the 5th century the island has become a Christian. After the 12th century invasion of Norman, England asserted sovereignty. However, UK rule did not reach the entire island until the conquest of Tudor in the 16th and 17th centuries reached colonial rule of British settlers. In the 1890 's, the British Protestant Government System was designed to be substantially disadvantaged for Catholic majority and Protestant opponents and extended in the 18th century. With the alliance of 1801, Ireland became part of England. After the independence war of the early twentieth century, the division of this island established Ireland's free state. This will be sovereign in the coming decades, Northern Ireland became part of the UK. It was settled after reaching the political agreement in 1998.
