The word "invisible people" idealizes the real unknown identity of the narrator as well as idealizing the black struggle. The story began as a narrator's university era, he worked hard and gained respect from the management of the university. Dr. Bledsoe is a black manager at school and a friend of a narrator. Dr. Bledsoe succeeded in a white culture and the goal was to make it possible for the narrator to achieve it.
