Investigation of Termination Speed Introduction When an object passes through a fluid, it accelerates until it reaches the end speed. At this speed, the forces acting on it are balanced. My job is to study factors that affect the final speed of falling objects. Main factors • Ball bearing quality • Fluid viscosity / density • Ball bearing surface area • Ball surface texture • Consider how temperature quality affects termination speed. As the quality of the ball bearings improves, the weight of the ball bearings increases, which requires more friction to balance the weight of the ball bearings, thereby predicting a greater weight of the ball bearings.
Introducing the terminal speed of the paper helicopter If the acceleration and the resistance are equal, the terminal speed will be generated. As an example, the free fall parachute reaches the end speed at about 120 miles per hour before the parachute opens, but when the parachute opens the end speed reaches 15 miles per hour, which is safe to collide with the ground is there. - Parenting style depends on culture, culture, socio-economic status, political ideology, and socially recognized structure (Class, 10/11/11). The psychological structure of Macoby Parenting Paradigm describes four child-rearing styles based on parent's request and warmth (Class, 10/11/11). The child rearing method also reflects discipline ability used by parents. Parent-child relationship is an important factor in shaping a child's life
The main purpose of this white paper is to understand how various factors affect parachute's terminal speed. In general, there are many factors that influence the speed of the parachute terminal such as air pressure, fall time, canopy area, vertex vent size, string length, canopy shape etc. However, to my knowledge, it is the mass, surface area (falling height) of the objects in the parachute, the length of the strings that play the most important role in the speed at which the parachute descends. As mentioned above, these factors are the main factors when descending parachutes whether they are small objects, soldiers or skydivers. As one factor may tend to achieve zero acceleration at a faster rate than other factors, I will see how these factors affect parachutes in my experiment to reach the final speed .
During free fall, when the falling body experiences zero acceleration, that is, when there is no acceleration in the parachute, the terminal speed will be generated. It depends directly on the ratio of resistance to weight. When the gravity acting on the object is equal to the air resistance of the object or the viscous force of the air, the terminal speed is reached. Air resistance is the main factor that an object falls to the final speed because it may cause the object to fall easily.
