One of the best aspects of my work is encountering countless inventors who are constantly talking emotionally to share life and creative careers. Years ago, I first heard about Lonnie Johnson, the inventor of Super Soaker, a colleague interviewed him and made a preliminary investigation for the Play in IAP exhibition in Lemelson Center. Since then I have been inviting him to the museum and I am looking forward to the opportunity to participate in a special program talking about his engineering career and many inventions in the process. I think he is the perfect candidate for the 2017 Innovative Life Series to be held at the Smelsonian National Museum of American History's Rememerson Center on February 2, 2017.
