Interview with an architect

We interviewed 25-year-old Chris Jaume who is completing the second part of construction assistant work as part of a journey to become a complete architect in the UK now.

Chris from the South East England learned his first part at Newcastle University and continued his vocational training for one year. He has finished studying for two years in the last two years and is now in the final grade. After that, we will become a qualified architect of the ARB (Building Registration Committee) under the third part of the exam and become a member of RIBA. (Royal Architects Association of the UK)

I originally chose it because it is a very creative career and you can have something you actually designed. Over time, I began to wonder what the impact of architecture on our lifestyle, emotions, and behavior. We spend most of the time in the building - through architecture, you can influence people to lead a better lifestyle

Both are the top ten in the domestic architectural world, so this is the key. No matter how good the city is, if the university course has bad reputation, I will not go there. I chose Newcastle because it was completely new to me. That remained in my comfort zone. Apart from home, you can not kill your hometown on weekends - so you force you to put yourself in college life. This is an opportunity to experience a comparison between people and lifestyle. In addition, I heard that many people said about the exciting content of Newcastle and what a wonderful city it is before I go there.

Manchester is again one of the best buildings in this country, and my girlfriend is near Leeds studying to obtain a doctorate. The course composition is also very attractive, and the studio unit is taught in a completely different way from Newcastle. Choosing to study in Manchester is another opportunity to explore a wonderful new city and lifestyle

In my undergraduate course, I learned a lot of skills from technical drawing and architectural techniques. You need to know how the scenes are tied together. We prepared various buildings each with a relaxed profile. And as we went to the rest of the year, we had to figure out the idea.

In the past two months, we interviewed about 20 architects and interior designers. Through these interviews we have extracted key features that we believe are relevant and important to our goal of improving architectural collaboration.
