Internet Governance

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a multi-stakeholder forum aimed at tackling dialogue on public policy issues related to key elements of Internet governance.

Since the first meeting in 2006, the Secretary General of the United Nations held the annual general meeting of IGF according to the duties stipulated in the Tunis Information Society Agenda.

As a platform of discussion, the forum takes stakeholder groups to negotiations, exchanges information and shares good practices in a good way. IGF will help maximize Internet opportunities and build consensus on how to deal with risks and challenges.

Internet governance includes a wide range of problems ranging from routine technical and operational work on the Internet to public policy problems such as fighting crime on the Internet. Discussions on Internet governance are taking place in many forums. For a long time, multi-stakeholder institutions developed for these purposes have discussed discussions on technical and business Internet governance. NRO has played an active role in many discussions with the following forums and organizations. Since the early stages of the Internet, NRO and the Regional Internet Registrar (RIR) actively cooperate with various stakeholders. We will secure the future growth and continuous stability of the Internet. NRO promises to continue this collaboration and cooperates with many governments and related global institutions to become interested in the development of the Internet.
