Internet Censorship and China

The Chinese government has established more than 60 Internet restrictions that have been implemented by state-owned internet service providers, branch offices of local companies and organizations. According to CNN, China's Internet control equipment is considered to be more extensive and advanced than any other country in the world. Government officials not only blocked the content of the website but also monitored personal Internet access; these measures attracted the nickname "Great Wall of China".
