How realistic is cyberspace? The term "cyberspace" was originally created by William Gibson and was defined as "an agreed fantasy experienced by billions of legitimate operators everyday" (Gibson 1984, 67). Since cyberspace exists on the Internet and is widely used worldwide, this term forms the evolving world that encompasses today's society. "On the Internet, online experiences challenge a lot of experiences traditionally known as identity, as many people use multiple windows and parallel lives to recreate their identity" (Turkle 1995 , 72).
This is an important aspect of cyberspace to define the relationship between individuals and the real world. Using the Internet as a tool to enter cyberspace, humans changed their perception of life and identity. Compared to the real world, people can freely enter cyberspace because it creates a friendly atmosphere (Heim Pg 32, 2006). The concept of interaction between cyberspace and reality space, the concept of reconstruction, also indicates that human influence on computers is excessive.
The non-geographical and temporal nature of cyberspace seems to be a difficult concept to adapt to the "traditional" legal scope of managing "real" spaces. It can be understood that the metaphor used to describe cyberspace reflects 'real' space and time. When talking about the Internet "address" that can enter and leave the "chat room", you can access "sites" etc. when the virtual space becomes real space. This is not surprising as it is necessary for all new businesses to be rooted in familiar metaphors to make it easier to understand new phenomena. Likewise, a metaphor captured from a familiar legal field is necessary to develop a new law. As a commentary on the post, "It is not a system designed to facilitate lawyers."
Characteristics of cyberspace create tension between cyberspace and reality space. This tension can cause problems with real world boundaries and obstacles. Cyberspace is more personal and friendly because there are no boundaries and barriers to the real space. I do not need a visa for traveling to other countries. People can access any country's website, but it is impossible in the real world. For those who want to visit an international gallery, the real world needs many obstacles and boundaries.
