Some volunteers maintain another page containing statistics on people who participated in the International Information Olympics.
The International Information Olympics (IOI) is an annual competitive program competition for junior high school students. In terms of the number of participating countries, this is the second largest Olympic Games after the International Mathematical Olympics (IOI 83 in 2017). The first IOI was held in Prabetz in Bulgaria in 1989. The game consisted of two days of computer programming and algorithmic problem solving. In addition to programmers as well as creative coders, you can imagine what programmers need to tell your computer to cope with many data related issues. Based on competition, each participating country (81 countries in 2012) will compete for up to 4 students
I came from Romania, I came back, and I am working on programming in high school age. With this, we were able to win three gold medals with National Informatics Olympic Games. Do you want to know how to prepare for the Olympic Games? Please read my article here. Competition is personal, and we have to solve the problem of algorithms with minimal memory in as little time as possible. From my background, I am a member of the team that named UCL as ACM ICPC in Northwest Europe. It was held in Bath, England, about 450 students from the UK, Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and many other countries in the region participated. I remember the game was played in a hall with about 150 computers composed of teams.
