Interdisciplinary Approach in Water Issues

In fact, the amount of water on our planet is huge, totaling 1.440 billion km 3, which is an important element in all life processes (Breu, et al., 2008). Therefore, we need to strengthen our efforts to combat water problems on a global scale. Water issues include acceptable conditions (such as environmental standards that infringe chemicals), and the management and use of water in various human activities. One characteristic of the water problem is the complexity because it is necessary to create various scientific data from various fields to solve the problem.

This special issue "Water safety" will explain the interdisciplinary approach in geographically different places where climate, income, lifestyle to ensure water safety are different. In particular, special features include, but are not limited to, demand management to promote effective use of rare supplies, dispute resolution mechanisms to predict, prevent and manage conflicts among water users, and optimal management of water quality management Practice, water technology, assessment of risks and vulnerabilities has been carried out and we confirm that all stakeholders are involved in building resilience for water safety against water-related disasters.

This course is an interdisciplinary, solution-oriented approach to analyze environmental problems through four modules: sustainability and consumption, sustainable water use, sustainable agriculture, ecological economics and a sustainable future Use the approach.
