Intercultural Knowledge and Competency: The Romans, Greeks, Japanese, Mesoamerica

The Japanese really appreciate nature. One way in which Shinto influences Japanese art is their religion, which is called Kami. God represents the whole of nature. The Japanese have shown how they relate to nature through art. "They also show a desire for meditation, quiet thought and psychological training, which are the arts they created" (Gateway to Art, p. 340). As a Christian, I also meditated a lot. I will awaken my thoughts and concentrate on God. It also gave me the opportunity to exercise spiritually.

First of all, since Roman religion is based on Greek religion, there are many similarities between Greek god and Roman god. Greek mythology was established a thousand years ago in Rome. Romans established their religion based on Greek religion. Therefore, Greek and Roman religions are similar in that they are polytheistic. "Polytheism is the faith or worship of many gods." Each culture has over 30 gods. In addition, the names of Greeks and Romans are different, but they have almost the same God. For example, both cultures have Poseidon, the goddess of love, the god of war, the god of wine, and the goddess of wisdom. The important thing is that God exists in Greek and Roman society, he is the king of God. In Greek mythology, the king of the gods is called Zeus, and the Romans call it the King of Jupiter the God. There is also the King of God in the myths of Greece and Rome.

Ancient myths are often confused. Especially among the Greek and Roman myths, if a particular god belongs to Greek or Roman myths, many people will still be confused. However, there are many similarities between the two, the difference is probably due to the difference between Greek culture and Roman culture. Greek culture first appeared for about 1000 years before the eyes of the Romans. Indeed, the Romans just adopted the idea that Greeks have gods and goddesses. This is the time they succeeded in grabbing the Greek regime. However, in order to give them a feeling of distinctiveness and gender, they changed the Greek god name to a certain extent, the names of the two cultures are almost identical except for the music God and the poet "Apollo".
