Inter-American Commission on Human Rights

The American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) is a municipality of the National Organization of the United States (OAS), an organization for the protection of human rights. The head office is located in Washington DC, USA. The ranking officer is a member of seven members elected at the OAS General Assembly for four years, worked by the individual's ability and not regarded as representative of his origin. These officials must have a high moral character and ability in the human rights field.
