We regard open thoughts as virtues and regard closed ideas as signs of undeveloped people. But philosophers and psychologists have discussed for many years what it means - not to mention the way to measure it.

However, in recent years, scientists have discovered a common understanding of virtue that reflects the meaning of most people talking about opening their minds in their daily lives.

I found that the lacking elements of open thinking, that is our relationships, partnerships, and the key to better government.

Philosophers regard humility as an understanding of their own flaws. This is a case of humility, but it applies to my brain, not morality.

Scientists define that IH is not arrogant, or that the focus on knowledge and truth exceeds your correct wish. But, furthermore, IH can change your view if necessary.

Aristotle suggests that "virtue" is a moderation, mean between two vices. There are also scientists who speak of IH in the same way - not only noticing the mistakes of intellectuals, they can also resist "to surrender too quickly in the face of conflict of knowledge". (Vorobej, 2011)

Therefore, if it is a "bad habit" that can not be trusted too much, it will be too stubborn. And IH is an advantage between them.

Dr. Elizabeth Krumrei-Mancuso of Pepperdine University explains as follows. "IH includes accepting people's beliefs with confidence while accepting other evidence."

In other words, wisdom and humility not only take pride but also give in to the thought of others, but desperately change your mind. It is wise enough to know what can change and when to change

Our thoughts, especially those that gave us great help in the past, became very easy to be associated with identity. This makes them hard to let go. It is very difficult to make it possible to separate ideas from self and identity, which is also a sign of people with high IH.

Regardless of whether we think that we are willing to do new things, regardless of how we separate ourselves from things, if we can not change our way of thinking, Restrict yourself.

We can not truly change our view unless we respect the idea that may help us change.

The humility of intellectuals' ethical knowledge includes recognition of the limitations of your knowledge and distorted effects of your view. As her research suggests, a higher level of intellectual humility is related to greater will, not thinking outside of us. People with intellectual humility make better grades at school and at work. why? When we acknowledge that our knowledge is limited, the world is constantly changing and it is easier to understand that the future is different from the present. By accepting this insight, leaders and employees can begin to recognize the power of exploration.
