They often call themselves like this, but these pop-ups are not actually art museums. However, they reflect the real change taking place in the museum world. In the era of Instagram, the exhibits are very good - this is reworking how the art is chosen and how the museum is designed.

Since modern contemporary art galleries are in unlikely places anywhere - redundant seaside towns, depressed northern cities - does this really indicate that art has changed from elitists to populists?
