According to statistics of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in India, the third largest Muslim population in the world is fully integrated in India. Muslims are the second smallest religion in India, but Muslims have the highest proportion among the countries in which countries with other Muslims in the world live as minorities ("Indian Muslims" ). India is the home of religious beliefs of indigenous peoples such as Hinduism and Buddhism, but this statistically clearly represents the success of Islamic expansion and establishment in India from the 7th century to the 8th century.
