Inherit the wind (Scopes trial)

The drama "The Wind of Succession" was written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Lee to inform the reader about the corruption of the law restricting the freedom of the general public. The play was based on the actual occurrence of personal John Scope in Dayton, Tennessee in the 1920s. This famous "Monkey trial" not only allows people to accept new theories about the origin of mankind but also shows that they do not need to limit themselves to other aspects of life. At the beginning of the script, the author tried to lead us to the topic of Darwinism and creationism.

Robert Lee and Jerome Lawrence who inherit the wind are famous dramas based on range trials. This scope trial was a lawsuit in 1925 at Dayton, Tennessee. In this case, John Scopes, a local alternative teacher accused of teaching evolution, was involved. There is the Butler law in Tennessee State, it is illegal for a state-funded school to teach evolution. Therefore the range was tried to break the law. Lee and Lawrence wrote "inheritance wind" to prove that the Butler law is unconstitutional and eliminated freedom of speech. However, the author changed many experimental events to persuade people to stand on the side of evolution and freedom of expression. When Li and Lawrence wrote their famous drama "Inheritance Wind", it was a bit reasonable to distort the facts and personality around the trial.
