The accuracy of the data input of the information system hardware is important, as there is no way to analyze the data without it. There are various devices that can be used to enter data, such as keyboard, mouse, scanning device, optical data reader. Use the keyboard and mouse to enter text and select information. This is a good way to enter a printed questionnaire as it provides more accurate data and does not require an attempt to explain that person's handwriting.

Information system hardware is a part of the information system that can be touched, the physical element of technology. Computers, keyboards, disk drives, iPads, and flash drives are all examples of information system hardware. In this chapter we will explain how these components work in conjunction with them. Software is a sequence of instructions that tells the hardware what to do. The software is not concrete - it is not touched. When a programmer creates a software program, what they really do is simply to enter a list of instructions to tell the hardware what to do. There are several types of software, two of which are operating system software, making hardware available, but application software is useful. Examples of operating systems include Microsoft Windows on a personal computer and Google Android on mobile phones. Examples of application software are Microsoft Excel and Angry Birds.

The main components of the information system are computer hardware and software, telecommunications, databases and data warehouses, human resources and procedures. Hardware, software and telecommunications constitute information technology (IT), which is now integrated into the operation and management of the organization. Today, the smallest companies in the world, and even more families own or rent computers. Individuals may own multiple computers in the form of smart phones, tablets, or other wearable devices. Larger organizations usually use distributed computer systems, from powerful parallel processing servers in data centers to widely distributed personal computers, mobile devices, and organizational information systems. Sensors are increasingly dispersed throughout the physical and biological environments to gather data and to control through devices, often referred to as actuators

The information technology infrastructure is simply a fictitious name of the hardware used to operate the accounting information system. Most of these hardware projects are what companies need, such as computers, mobile devices, servers, printers, surge protectors, routers, storage media, and perhaps backup power supplies. In addition to the cost, factors to consider when choosing hardware are speed, storage capacity, and enhancement and upgrade capabilities. Probably the most important thing is that the hardware selected for AIS must be compatible with the target software. Ideally, it is just compatible, it's best - a clunky system will be more useful than a fast system. One way that you can easily meet the hardware and software compatibility requirements is to purchase a turnkey system that includes hardware and business-critical software.
