From early childhood to adolescence, school-age children are growing at a fast pace. In the meantime, children's skills, limitations of learning, and elements of development develop. This growth belongs to a class called five areas of child development. They are divided into five parts - cognitive, social, emotional, moral, and physical. These fields evolved and changed over time using psychologists and educators' work such as Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson, Vygotsky.

There are three development fields of physical development, cognitive development, psychosocial development. Physical development affects cognitive development, cognitive development affects psychosocial development. Each of these domains interacts with each other. Physical development of children may affect their cognitive development due to their brain development, large exercise development, and fine motor development. The brain develops mainly before birth, and continues to grow rapidly during the first year after birth. Physical development also determines the timing of language development. Physical changes occur mainly in early childhood, and the cognitive and language development of children rapidly changes. Cognitive development also begins with the movement of the body and the adjustment of incoming sensory data. Language is a powerful tool to promote cognitive development. Early childhood is an important period of development because the body's rapid growth, cognition and social emotions constitute the "cornerstone" of growth after childhood. Several fields of child development are also interrelated (Elder & Shanahan, 2006; Lerner, Lewin-Bizan, & Warren, 2011). For example, early good nutrition is important for healthy physical development and can promote cognitive and social emotional growth (Leavitt, Tonniges, & Rogers, 2003). Reactions in parent-child relationships promote the development of healthy social emotions and lead to improvements in physical and cognitive outcomes (Zaff et al., 2003). In the words of Magnusson and Stattin (1998, p. 727), 'individuals develop rather than variables'. In addition, the developmental medium plays a central role in the process and outcome of individual development. The holistic approach captures this important point.

Cognitive development is a major field of childhood development. The term cognition refers to how mind works, and the study of cognitive development focuses on how mind thinks and learns in the early stages of life. An example of cognitive development in childhood is learning to distinguish behaviors being rewarded and behaviors punished by parents and then making decisions based on such reasoning (eg, following instructions).
